About Tracey
Tracey Lennon has a background in Art, Interior Design and Illustration, and has worked as both a designer and scenic artist.
She works with acrylic paint, poured paint, watercolour pencils, and paper collage. Her artworks are focused on mid-century, historic buildings and pools as well as seascapes of The Gold Coast, North Stradbroke Island and Morton Bay.

Design Process
I start with an idea and take photos and do multiple sketches till I get a design I like. Then I do a drawing and enlarge it on a plan printer to the required size. After that, I deconstruct the picture-I take it apart in tiny planes of colour and cut out pieces of paper to suit the colours. If I don’t have a colour, I pour watercolour or acrylic paint onto paper. I collect paper and have drawers of it - colour coded. Often the final picture is in many pieces and the beauty of the process is I can change the colour and composition right up until the end. Sometimes, I lose bits of the picture because they fall on the floor or stick to the dog and I have to make them again. Finally, when I like the design, everything is stuck down.
